Walden Pond is Helping the Homeless in Lynchburg, Virginia
Miriam's House is an outstanding program dedicated to ending homelessness through the empowerment of women and families. It provides shelter and educational service to families faced with homelessness. Walden Pond Apartment Homes' team members learned about this program and wanted to help. They volunteered to complete an entire two-room renovation at the house. Their renovations included painting, installing new fixtures and providing new interior décor. They even assisted with smaller maintenance tasks and construction of furniture items for some of the other rooms. We are proud that our Walden Pond team members have fully embraced our brand promise to be an engaged community partner and our value to be collaborative as we work with each other and our partners.
Miriam's House posted a kind thank you on Facebook to our Walden Pond team members, "We wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Brandy, James and everyone on the team at Walden Pond Apartment Homes! This group spent countless hours renovating one of our on-site units. We are so grateful for the time and energy you all put into creating a warm and welcoming space that will bring joy and hope and safety to those in need, right here in our community. Your partnership means so much to us!"
