Frequently Asked Questions about Home Building

At HHHunt, we believe it’s how you live that matters and one of our Brand Promises and Values is to be Customer Focused. Part of that commitment is exceeding expectations – especially when it comes to the home building process. For many, building a home is a new experience. In fact, building a new home can be intimidating if you have never gone through the process before. That is why we’ve put together this list of frequently asked questions to demonstrate how HHHunt Homes takes the stress out of the home building process.

Who will be in charge of construction?

Depending on your location, HHHunt Homes has several Construction Managers located in Richmond, Williamsburg, Hampton Roads and Raleigh. Our Construction Managers are among the best in the business with decades of experience guiding new home construction. They are responsible for quality control and ensuring your home is to your exact specifications.

Can I access my home during construction?

For the safety of our customers, we do not allow homebuyers unlimited access to the home during construction. As you might imagine, there are obstacles such as equipment or nails that could pose a risk to your safety. We do allow homebuyers to schedule supervised tours of their home while it’s under construction.

Who will be my contact person during construction?

Your New Home Advisor (NHA) will be your primary contact person during the construction process. Your NHA will help answer any questions you have, set up appointments to visit your home while it is under construction, and assist with the design selection process.

How long will it take for my home to be move-in ready?

There are several variables when it comes to creating a timeline for new home construction such as home size, features, lot choice, materials, and more. Due to ongoing shortages of lumber, we are informing our homebuyers that they should expect to wait at least six months before their home is move-in ready. Timelines may be longer in some communities. We understand that this might not be ideal for everyone but can assure you that it’s worth the wait. We promise you will love your new home!

These are just some of the questions that we often receive from homebuyers. Over the coming months, we will continue to add more frequently asked questions on our blog. Our commitment to being a Customer Focused company means we will always be honest and transparent with you. We invite you to come explore the HHHunt difference today by visiting one of our new home communities in Richmond, Williamsburg, Hampton Roads, or Raleigh.
