We’re excited to announce that the winner of the 2019 Gingerbread House competition sponsored by TowneBank Mortgage is the HAMPTON!  With 49% of the vote, the Hampton was the top choice by all of our social media followers. The competition began in early December and concluded at the end of the year with live voting on the HHHunt Homes of Richmond Facebook page.

Earlier this week, the HHHunt Homes of Richmond team was informed of the winner and the donation being made to Richmond Friends of the Homeless. Thanks to the support of TowneBank Mortgage and HHHunt Homes, Richmond Friends of the Homeless will receive $300.

Founded in 1986, Richmond Friends of the Homeless provides nutritious lunches seven days a week in Richmond’s most impoverished neighborhoods including Blackwell / Bainbridge / Hillside and Jackson Ward / Gilpin Court / Mosby Court.

The goal of the organization is to alleviate hunger in our community, as well as to provide numerous services to those living in poverty including blankets, clothing, personal hygiene kits and food baskets.  Counseling, referral services and regularly scheduled “health fairs” are also offered. Special children’s services include providing school supplies, book bags, funds for field trips, gym suits and graduation clothing as needed.

At HHHunt Homes, we believe it’s how you live that matters and giving back to our local community by helping to fight hunger is a huge part of that belief.
