We’re celebrating the Fourth of July holiday this week! We believe it’s how you live that matters and love watching our homeowners in Virginia and North Carolina celebrate this patriotic holiday in meaningful and fun ways with their friends, loved ones, and neighbors. If you’re still on the search for star-spangled fun in Richmond, Hampton Roads, Williamsburg, and Raleigh, we have you covered with these events:

Richmond

Chesterfield Fairgrounds: Fireworks will begin at dark, but there’s plenty of fun before that! There will be a children’s inflatable area, food vendors, live music, special entertainment, and more. The event is free, but the inflatable area is $5.

CarMax Free Fourth of July: Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is open to all on Independence Day! Enjoy free admission to the garden and Butterflies LIVE! exhibit, live music, a parade, and so much more.

Williamsburg

Colonial Williamsburg: There’s no better place to place to celebrate America’s birthday than at the site of where it all began. Patriotic events are sunup to sundown with readings of the Declaration of Independence, music, arts and crafts, and of course fireworks.

Busch Gardens: Twists, turns, thrills, and more await you at Busch Gardens! There’s fun for all ages that includes a patriotic firework display and powerful music at dark.

Hampton Roads

Newport News 4th of July Stars in the Sky: Newport News is the place to be for Fourth of July! The beautiful James River is the backdrop for this festive night. There will be a moon bounce, tasty seafood, strolling entertainment, and more.

Smithfield Fireworks: Historic Smithfield is a great place to celebrate our country’s independence. Enjoy a classic firework display as you sit back and relax the summer breeze.

Raleigh

Olde Fashioned Fourth: Historic Downtown Apex is throwing a celebration for the Fourth of July! You’ve never seen a holiday parade like the Parade of Wheels where you can decorate your bike or wagon followed by a Fire Department Splash Down. There will also be a flag raising and speech from the Mayor!

Stadium and Arena Fireworks Display: Prepare for the ultimate Fourth of July extravaganza for all ages! This will be a breathtaking, not-to-miss show that’s free for all. You can sit back and relax in a chair or on a blanket as you watch the fireworks light up the sky over Carter-Finley Stadium and PNC Arena.
