One of\nour favorite features in many of our new homes and townhomes is our flex\nspaces. Flex spaces<\/a>\ncan be anything you want them to be, so we recently asked some of our\nhomeowners how they used their flex spaces. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Playroom or Game Room<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Who said that a flex space needs to be boring? HHHunt Homes<\/a> has redefined the flex space\nto be the perfect area for entertaining friends and family. For example, here\nis what the Mahoney family in our Dayton\nWoods<\/a> community in Raleigh, North Carolina will be doing with their flex\nspace:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur current plan is to use it\nas a “hobby room.” Maria is planning to set up a sewing table with\nher sewing machine, and I am planning on setting up my gaming PC and a writing\ndesk on the other side of the room.\u201d <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your imagination is your only limitation when it comes to\nusing your flex space for a game room or playroom. They offer the perfect space\nto add nooks for storing toys, games or supplies. Playrooms are great for\nentertaining kids, but adults need to play too. These can serve as a great man\ncave or she shed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Extra Bedroom or Home Office<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Have out-of-town guests? Your flex spaces can be customized\ninto an extra bedroom! Having an extra bedroom in your home is perfect if you\nhave friends and family visit from out-of-town frequently. For example, our Davenport<\/a>\nplan at Maidstone Village in New Kent County offers an optional third-floor\nwhich is perfect for an extra suite and can be customized with an additional\nbathroom. Your guests will love having their own retreat when they come to\nvisit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hadja in Dayton woods is using her flex space as both an\noffice space and an extra bedroom:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI will be using my flex space\nas an office\/extra bedroom. It will have grayish beige accent wall and a grey\ndesk with Lucite legs. The French doors will have custom curtains.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Home Gym<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the most popular ways that our homeowners use their flex space is as a home gym or yoga studio. During the building process, you can select the features you want to make that happen! Imagine getting rid of your gym membership and being able to get a great workout without ever leaving your home. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
